Dear Friends:

It is with our profound sorrow that we inform you that Sayoko Eri, bearer of important
intangible cultural assets, passed away, still with full of aspiration and plans for future
creations, at 10:00 p.m. (Japan Time), October 3, 2007, while visiting in the city of
Amiens located in the northern part of France. She dedicated her life to the revival of
Kirikane and the quest for further potentiality of this unique delicate art. She lived her
life fully, always to the best of her ability. She died at the age of sixty-two.

We hereby extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks and appreciation to your kindness and
cooperation given to her all through her lifetime.

For your information, we have already held a funeral attended by the family members
alone on October 11, 2007, which will be followed by the formal funeral to be held at the
time and the place shown below:

(Funeral service: 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.;
  Farewell ceremony: 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
